Graham Bonnet was with The Marbles, then later joined Deep Purple. He also had a couple of solo hits. Not sure where he is now.

Graham Bonnet was in Rainbow and is still about, and I believe recorded his last album in the same studio we are in from Wednesday.
Also a couple of solo hits, but is best known for his classic "Since you`ve Been Gone" vocal.

Graham Bonney is a Londoner born in 63 and has had a very successful German career for more than 30 years now.He was a member of the Riot Squad on Pye in the mid 60s.

Graham Bond was also from London

Graham Bonnet is from Skegness in Lincolnshire and is related to the Bee Gees. I think he had a hand in Scott English's eurovision song in 1999

Either way, this is good news for all Graham.

They, as a collective monicker, have far too few hits.

Graham Bonney, EMI & Electrola 17 Years, 6 Months ago
The story of Graham Bonney proves that record company stupidity is nothing new:

Mike Leckebusch, the director of the german tv-show Beat-Club, had heard "supergirl" on Radio Caroline. When he asked Electrola, the german branch of EMI, about the song/singer, they replied: "We don't know anything, and we don't care."

Leckebusch booked Bonney through EMI UK. Now the Electrola managers were angry and acted like childish: They refused to release the song.

Leckebusch invited the singer back on the show. After four months popular demand forced Electrola to change their mind. But now they had another great idea: They demanded than Bonney sings in german.

MIKE - as usual (despite your rather long periods of silence) you're spot on - it was Graham Bell and Skip Bifferty I was trying to remember!!!

At the time I thought he was hugely talented - a really great singer - and Don Arden frightened the hell out of him.

He never got to be as successful as he deserved and I could not remember his name. Terry Reid was very highly regarded at the time and Graham reminded me of him.

Anyone know where he is now?

Well you know me JK, even operations on the brain can't finish me off.(Did you not get the e-mails?)

As for Graham Bell nowadays, I think he became quite reclusive and other than contributions to Snowy White's "Bird of Paradise" LP I can't see his name anywhere in recent years. I'll ask around for you...

I don't think I'll be investing in Graham Bonney's Christmas album anyway. It would, however, be fun to do the goosestep in time to the rhythm of "Stille Nacht, Heilige Nacht"!

Well I've looked around and found loads of stuff on Graham Bell until the late 80's - so we need to find out what happened since then!
