FAB Chart - 17 Years, 5 Months ago
Ken Dodd may have missed out on a knighthood (shame!) but he does have the honour of being top of the FAB Chart. "When you come to measuring a man's success; don't count money count HAPPINESS!" I love it.

Ken's the only person keeping Rob Harding off the top this week. I figure the combined ages of the top two must be over 150 years.

My favourite new entry is by Scott Slater at number 4. "Give A Little" is one of those songs which grabs you on first hearing and buries itself deep in your heart.

Jackson Cook has another FAB hit, this time with "First Kiss" which, I'm sure, is a real hand clapper at gigs.

Destri deserves to have two tracks in at the same time if only because it's probably the only way James Stewart will ever have a FAB Chart hit.

Mark McDougall's song is quite summery, so probably charted at the wrong time, but it's kinda cool.

Propylaion have a Funky number which deserves a few more listens.

This chart has given me a bright start to the day.
Thanks Fabbers.

I agree about Scott Slater. Wonderful song.

Also good to see James Stewart in there.
Now how about someone sampling Margaret Rutherford.

Ken Dodd is King !!!!!!

Does anyone know if that is the real James Stewart on the Destri track, or is it a soundalike? I wonder how much they'd have to pay to be able to sample the voice of such a great actor, or is that dictated by the age of the original recording?
