With 2008 rolling in many artists and bands are certain to do well... Adele, Duffy, The Courteneers, Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong, Foals, Black Kids, The Ting Tings etc etc... The list goes on and yes, I love them all. But what about those who will be discovered by the masses in 2008?
Look out for
Peggy Sue and the Pirates (lovely ladies with a great rockabilly/punk/pop sound),
The Matthew Bennett Band (wholly unoriginal name but a wicked pop/punk/folk sound with some lovely ballady type 'classics in the making' thrown into the mix - tipped by BBC 6Music's Tom Robinson),
Natalie Wood (only heard the demos but this girl has a rough, raw, Mary J Blige type voice and an immense songwriting talent), and then there's
The Headliners (infectious indie guitar band with great beats).
So there you go, now check them out...
