JK,
Is this really a good idea to publish such unconfirmed conjecture? On our desk we have picked up masses of tidbits and rumour which simply at present cannot be printed, and this is one of them. Think of the folk on the Green worried sick if they will able to pay the bills in a few months.

Is "mushroom man" - fed on bullshit and kept in the dark - really any better?

Walter - we've been warning and predicting these radical changes for three years now and anyone with brains will have gotten out ages ago.
Those who didn't deserve all they get.
They have been a crucial element in the death of the old model; by taking their wages and doing nothing about it they have brought this upon themselves and - worse - destroyed and damaged the lives and careers of innocent talent by failing to encourage, nurture and assist them.

Wow JK you certainly don't mince your words. It's a sobering thought but my prediction is that the internet/mobile phone industry will consume the music business and use its content to sell other products particularly mobile phone content.
I am currently reviewing a number of mobile phone products and I am astounded how much money people are spending on mobile phone information.
Also the rise of playlist driven streaming services like Pandora, Last FM and so on is like a volcano waiting to explode and when it does boy what a huge difference it will make.
My advice is begin to develop communities and services where you fans interact with you live and direct in a real time way. Perhaps a mobile interview, a quiz or something.
Even sell them physical product that is signed. Prepare your wrists folks.
