I saw Slade in Flame about 30 years ago on Channel 4 and about 8 years ago on BBC 4. However, it is very rarely shown, and I would like to see it again with an older perspective. It isn't available on streaming, DVD, or blu-ray, however it will be coming out on blu-ray in the middle of May. I'm not sure whether I would shell out for a blu-ray. It depends on whether it is nearer to E10 than £20. As you imply, Mark Kermode raves about it, but he raved about Dune and Dune 2, which I was bored silly with.
These rock and pop films do often get forgotten. Breaking Glass, Pink Floyd's "the wall", Spice World, that awful Cliff Richard film set in Birmingham, and god forbid Gary Glitter's "Remember me this way". I enjoyed That'll be the day and Stardust, but they are different sort of films. They aren't just vehicles for pop stars.

The Cliff film set in Birmingham is called "Take Me High", and includes the classic hit of the same name. I saw it about 30 years ago when the BBc showed a season of Cliff Richard films. It would interesting to see again as a period piece.
I saw "That'll be the day" again recently on Britbox, and was surprised to see a very young Sue Holderness who played Marlene in Only Fools and Horses. It seemed quite racy to me as a teenager, but probably would struggle to get a 15 certificate now. It says on imdb that iw as loosely based on John Lennon's early years, which I didn't really see.
