What I learned from my kids. 17 Years, 4 Months ago
Forgive me for the numerous posts, lol it is 10.24 at night and the end of the month looms.
My kids are into some Japanese cartoon thing called Naruto. They spend a lot of time watching episodes on Youtube even though it is in Japanese. I have to kick them off the computer to stop them watching all day long.
One of the things they are really into is the MUSIC on Naruto. They attach their mp3 player to it and record it onto their devices (pretty much like radio).
Anyway I entered into a discussion with them to find
out what is in Naruto that they like. It's a cartoon and well they love the stories and the characters. They find it exciting and enables them to recreate their own version.
How did they find out about Naruto ? Not through some prime time TV advertisement, nor from a magazine. But in the playground from their mates.
Even though they listen to the music on their mp3 player when they are not on the computer, they log on to youtube every day to watch the next installment.
Then comes the action figures, the paper books and of course the DVD so they can watch in pristine surround quality on a big TV.
On another note, is it only me but is there anyone in music today that is really interesting as a person ?
