Yet again another lunatic decision by the Majors is leading to illegal downloading by the dozen.

The track in question is the very good demo by Michael Jackson "Got the Hots" which is only on the Japanese release WTF !!!!

Google it and see the demand for this track. Sony (ain't got a clue)BMG have failed to realise that once people demand the track it should be on sale immediately. I have tried to find a high quality to play on repeat as I can't do that with Youtube. By the time the buffoons make it available the interest would have died or worse people would have got the torrents version.

Personally I don't want to get the torrents version on principle but the more I look for it the more likely Sony/BMG would have lost a sale.

The worst thing about it is that it is not even on the album in iTunes so while the eedjits in the music industry bleat about piracy it should be noted that their ineptitude and foolishness has lead to lost sales yet again.

When will these people realise that greed is the way to ruin. It is an illogical decision and thank God I don't have such buffoonery affecting my music.

Mmmm...so why not make the download available first and then start working the promo? In fact, is this not the way the Americans used to do it with physicals years ago? And have we not agreed that a "release" date is out of date?

Big End you are totally right. Even if they don't do that they should employ someone savvy to sit on the computer and google for the response. It is as if they deserve to be robbed.
