Just got an email about a gig they have next week. Its at The Troubadour in London and they're on stage at 10pm. Looks like being a bit of an A&R fest. Although they weren't there I heard lots of talk about them at SXSW.

not boring to me. However, be careful Good Ears about proclaimations of "A & R" fest until it happens.

In any event, hope they have a crackin' gig because they deserve it.

No hype and definitely no bullshit! There was a LOT of interest in this band here some weeks ago. And there was a lot of talk about them in my circles leading up to that thread. This came up at SXSW.

I was originally put onto them by a well respected music lawyer. I'm going along and without naming names, four, possibly five of my colleagues in A&R will be going along too. There's a buzz and having not seen them live I'm very interested.

If you have a problem with that, cool, but don't make uninformed statements...

Well more fool you and your colleagues. Why don't you just go and sign the Waterboys, as at least their singer doesn't sing with a virbrator like vibrato?

One of the distinct things about this forum is that people are encouraged to plug their own, openly and honestly.

That is something I believe to very worthwhile and am glad it is this way.

It's much better than pretending to be an unassociated "fan".
