Introducing Danish pop star Thomas Barsoe

Thomas Barsoe's background into getting signed is quite a story (which has received big press / media coverage in his native Denmark).
Thomas travelled to Asia on his own with just his acoustic guitar and demo CD. He walked straight into the head office of EMI in Hong Kong (without an appointment).
He asked the receptionist if he could sing her a song.......Impressed with Thomas' vocals she called the A&R office upstairs and was he was then asked to sing for them.
This A&R meeting lead to dinner with the President of EMI for the entire South East Asia which eventually saw Thomas signing a record deal on a paper napkin!
Thomas is signed to Universal Publishing worldwide through the UK office.
Currently signed in Japan with Victor JVC and the rest of SEA with EMI.

Thomas Barsoe's debut single 'Better Man' was a No.1 Smash Hit in Japan.

Please, even Joe Public knows that the days of walking in off the street and getting a deal are long over...and rarely ever happened...

I hear no hits.

In fact the music is almost the definitive example of manufactured pop flops - and the entire project from image to sound is pure Scandinavian technology as created by computers.

No wonder the Japanese like it.
