Rob, who runs it, is well aware that I like to goad his readership and this one, as expected, has unleashed a tidal wave of tabloid bile!

And, of course, a huge leap in views.

Some get the message and see the point (and actually listen to the lyrics) but most just charge like blind, bloodied bulls at the poised sword.

It appears perfectly aimed at the closet (and not so closet) homophobes who get drunk, wolf whistle women, glaze over with lust at teenage girls (preferably topless) and spit acid at anyone who admires teenage boys.

If you haven't seen the video - here it is (and remember, it's Oscar Wilde singing, not the actor).

There you go again, JK, goading those whose staight forward basically ordinary folk who don't share your libertine views. There is also a whiff of suspicion too, that you see yourself genuinely as the modern equivalent of Oscar Wilde which is self aggrandissment on a truely epic scale. De Profundis and Vile Pervert, no doubt you see them as two sides of the same coin. They are not.

I reread De Profundis in Belmarsh, Walter, and thought it the most awful, whiny, blame pushing piece of rubbish - as a result I wrote my own Not So Profundis which you can find online and even (I think) in our Archive section.

Oscar was, in my opinion, vastly over rated.

But there were works of genius (Dorian, Little Prince) and his situation did, in many ways, mirror mine (unless you'd prefer it the other way round).

If you could read some of the messages I've had, Walter, I believe you'd come round to the light 100%.

Goading those closet homophobes is not only fun, it is very revealing.
