PS that was so hot off the press I mistyped one of the Monday bands ( Sorry )

AUTO DROP OUT have replaced KIND OF GIRL.

Some real gems in the line ups. MESH 29 had a top 40 last year and are part of the DIY scene. THE VOLT are one of the MTV2 Contenders for Get Seen Get Heard - one act from USA - one from Swedon - and two from South Africa give the three nights an international flavour.

Check out the City Showcase for the daytime events. A

I love the way you just said "the DIY scene" BR.

What better a way, could the completely confusing term "Indie" be finally laid to rest.

Yes but also weigh this into context with the lovely little Lark In the Park venue which needs supporting also.

Mr Big, and with all due respect, I am sat in the middle of both camps, I have recently played the "Lark"(about a month ago actually) and am not involved in ITC in any way.
These events need the promoters, the bands and the venues support, to succeed.
If that sounds like an excuse, maybe you would care to inform me who I left out.
I appreciate what you are saying, but it`s a big picture to make music succeed and yes some people may feel ripped off, most notably the travelling musicians, which for some strange reason I still am, but without all the aspects coming together at the unsigned level, nothing happens unless everybody is a team and those teams will still require leaders as headless chickens are good only for a barbeque.

Everybody is entitled to be DIY these days, but as long as there is a "bigger promoter", willing to take a chance, it all helps to work with them.

Hi,
I went to see the Parlotones last night as part of the City Showcase festival and had a great time. I think its unfair to accuse the organisers of exploiting young musicians and would definitely recommend City Showcase to any band or artist. Also to suggest they are making vast profits out of it is not true either. The wristbands cost

I am actually a "sponsor" of the City Showcase event and have been for 4 years.

I can assure everyone that no band is charged to play and the
