Eurovision as it goes on... 17 Years ago
Serbian girl was excellent and bollocks to block voting - she was best last year.

Andy gave far and away the best performance for the UK in the past ten years - pity about the song. Given a hit he could have won it for us.

Must do his career a lot of good; a truly first class show - well done to him.

I just sort of said that about Andy on the other thread.

So .. I'll just say ditto.

Am loving the mad Bosnians.

This is the best Eurovision visually in ages.

Israel is good too - I've not heard any hits yet but the standard of performance and staging is tremendous - a marvellous show, variety, magic, spectacle...

The Croatia entry is quite interesting, but I'm wondering why Bob Hoskins is doing the vocals. It looks like him anyway. The old guy with the scratch gramaphone is a real character.

Is it me, or are we hearing many traditional tunes that were already cast in their countries folk-lore and called something else?

I'm biased towards Iceland as the writer is a personal friend but there is something rather Jemini about the duo - mind you, the Icelandics were in tune throughout.

I actually like the Turkey tune.
A great Euro devolpement of how to play like Muse , but actually not!

Interesting point Mart but I must say this is the most entertaining Eurovision for years - none of the songs are great but on every other level it's far superior to previous years.

I liked Turkey too and Anthony's secret favourite Portugal was beautifully sung - actually all the vocals and music has been spot on this year - well done, Serbian TV.

Anthony you might be onto one there - best vocal so far.

I'm really LOVING Eurovision this year.

And JK's secret tip Latvia with their Adam Ant spoof has the strongest melody in the chorus I reckon.

Sweden= duff.

Those verses are not in her key at all. It was like waiting for a car to get into gear.

I'm glad you felt that way Mart; Sweden was actually the worst one so far I felt; very OLD Eurovision and very weak compared to all the others - indeed Denmark, on now, is far better.

France looked wonderful but not convinced by the song. Nice arrangement of voices though.

Mrs Mart has gone for Denmark.
I feel France are deliberately trying to lose.

Ok, Greece for me at the moment, actually a decent crossover and I like it a lot.

Don't like Greece at all... check DJones on the other thread - it takes different strokes for different folks!

Wait until my man Dima performs for Russia in a couple of turns.

Hate Spain except - again - thoroughly entertaining.

For sheer entertainment this has been the best Eurovision in a decade.
