Love the voice and the sound - not sure about the song.

I'm with JK on the voice and the sound - not certain about the song. Very reminiscent of Brook Benton and the wonderful Billy Eckstine.

Beautiful beautiful.

And for those that have not noticed, two of the main guys involved in this are from the band Japan.

hi mart,

it's David Sylvian's label - samadhisound

but Thomas Feiner is the artist (he is from Sweden).

Steve Jansen (David's brother) also had his debut album released on the label last year

Bang me over a copy , it will work well on the evening radio show I plug to.
That is the coolest track I have heard since the Thurston Revival`s "Somewhere there`s an Angel".

for those interested....

the cover photo is taken by Cecil Beaton and is a shot of Jean Cocteau smoking opium - inside is another shot of Jean's lover Marcel Khill taken during the same shoot.

I've listened to it a couple of times and have to admit it does nothing for me.

But it's good we are all different.

gorgeous production and lovely vocal presentation. Ambient and mystical. It works. Loved listening and thanks for the music.

And excellent they are Not ITK.
Brilliantly produced, lovely vocals. A real dreamscape of a sound.
Thank you for that seemingly shy tip, well worth the listen.

Thanks Mart
I think they are on their 12th album now, the new one I believe is through Roadrunner
My brother is the drummer, but the keys player is the fab ex Japan member Richard Barbieri

Re:just about the most beautiful record I've heard 16 Years, 12 Months ago
Richard Barbieri was a very much under praised guy in the 80`s.
His work was and is, incredibly accurate.
His use of live sequencing , which I was lucky enough to witness was absolutely pioneering in a live band situation.
I realise this post has just read like an epitaph, which of course it is not, but the guy is one of the absolute all time great and pioneering keyboard players, without whom, we would not even have had a Duran Duran and acts that followed from that musical vein.
