This started with the Guardian booklets of lyrics - I wrote to the Editor congratulating him but saying he SHOULD have included both Chimes of Freedom and Sad Eyed Lady of the LOW...Lands in the Dylan collection.

Then I HAD to listen to Sad Eyed Lady and, of course, couldn't find the CD (Vinyl beautifully filed - CDs not).

Discover to my amazement, not only can you NOT buy Sad as a single track on iTunes but even in shops only as a part of Blonde On Blonde (it's on no compilations).

Fine, I want BonB anyway, got the special "looks like vinyl" CD version - then came across original CDs of both Freewheeling and Another Side... Corinne Corinne well worth checking out (Phil Spector made perhaps his first brilliant hit production with Paul Petersen)... so bought them.

Then stumbled across Roy Orbison's hard to find Virgin album with Bono and Elvis Costello (well worth checking out - my favourite is The Comedians, written by Costello, a masterpiece) and then an Orbison Greatest Hits collection...

Didn't need the Cohen collection - came across that at home.

Anyway, long story short, ended up spending

Yes it`s always worrying that as soon as you pick one cd up in a shop it leads to another and another............
Usually ending up by picking one up that you initialy put back as you didn`t want to spend out on it , but by the time you have bought everything else you had just as well have it anyway.
