Comment from a regular Tipster and contributor.

But sadly it seems ALL the music industry is getting boring.
Other boards like the Velvet Rope and ROTD are just as dull at present.

Usually out of work people saying "this band is awful" or bitter ex music people saying "the new execs are shit".

Very little excitement or music raves.

Very little real invention or originality in tips. Recycled rap on old hit melody samples, copy rock, thinly disguised boy bands, Spice Girl Wannabes...

It's not a holiday thing. It's an inspiration thing.

And I have to say my last concept, making a movie to promote the new music and allowing everybody to watch it for free, has lead to over 21,000 full length views and downloads in 2 months. That strikes me as very interesting indeed.

Enjoying the many charms of the Luberon region in France. No regrets!

yes it's all a bit "ho-hum" at the moment.

For my own part, I'm up to my eyelids preparing stuff prior to taking a summer break .

After that, watch this space.

Yeah but JK, no disrespect to you but it is people like you who actually "force" artists to go a-copying. lol. Let's give artists time to find their own music, their own sound, their own hits instead of pressuring them to come up with smashes which in turn forces them to analyse old smashes and copy them in the process, therefore producing same as or 3rd rate versions.

One thing that I find interesting with what you are doing is the fact that you couldn't care less what people thought of you and you are doing your own thing and well maybe they will come across and dig what you are doing. This i find most interesting and you sure have cottoned onto the fact that the interweb is a fertile ground for fresh ears and if you build it they will come.

I am finding that more and more people are signing up at my website than on Myspace and we are gettings hundreds a week which will pay dividends later on. For this reason I ALWAYS promote my site above Murdoch-space every time.

The new model is all about centralisation. Your website is the centre of your universe and is like your church. Add your own magazine, TV show, radio show and club to it and you are Man Utd all over again lol. Start small and grow before anyone takes notice this is my advice to artists today.
