I expect most people are aware that when St Bob Geldof went to support David Davis last week at the Hull by election - another candidate David Icke was LOCKED out of the meeting despite having a ticket !

So much for freedom and Civil Liberties !

I often wonder how Geldof could smooze so much with Tony Blair knowing that he was supporting the Iraq bombing and murder of 1 million Iraquis. ( 1 million lives in order to get rid of one person.....)

I remember watching it as a 12 year old, it was also sadly the same day that my Gran had a stroke, which ultimately cost her life in October 1985. A lot of music-experts were quite critical of Live Aid as well. As a child I do remember watching it and enjoying it, however, I may have changed my opinion if I watched it now as a 35 year old.

My Dad remembered your column regarding Live Aid and recommends that I read it, how would I be able to get a copy on the internet JK.

Yes the column picked up a huge reaction Mike - I was the only person daring to say it; it may be available in the Sun archives.

I remember waking up in the middle of the night and watching Dylan with Keith and Ronnie who appealed for "just a teeny bit of the money raised to be given to American farmers".
Throughout history you can always rely on good old Bob to say something other than what anyone else is saying!

I have to say, personally I did enjoy the day immensely,we all had a great day,, however , the aftermath of charity concerts began to roll across screen and stage in the coming years in such a procession that people got weary of giving anything to charity.
The Ramones summed it up quite shockingly in about `87 with a single cover proclaiming to support their own charity "Hands Across Your Face".
A lyric, which really summed up the whole public tiredness of charity giving(circa 1990) was "We put our hands in our pockets, there`s something wrong with human nature."
Now , who the heck recorded that? Big hit, the name of the act completely eludes me.(Soul 2 Soul?)
A great lyric though, kind of, "oh dear, here`s some money then..".

These "Big Events" hide the fact that nothing actually changes.

St Bob and his chums were all in HYDE PARK at the time of the Gleneagles G8 to celebrate ST TONY B LIAR's great achievement of cancelling African debt.

Funny how we now read that despite the PROMISES this debt has not been cancelled.

The whole thing as a CIRCUS for the "politically correct left wing music fan" to wave as a BADGE for us all to see "how much they care" about the World.

The reality is that is was just another money making concert for the media and it changed nothing - in fact worse than that it probably took away many donations from Charities because people believed the situation was solved.

People are dying in Africa and around the World right now BECAUSE OF BLAIR - BROWN - GELDOF and the World Financial Institutions. There is ENOUGH food for everyone on the planet - there is enough wealth. Yet a small number of countries and people hold onto the wealth and deprive the rest of this.

War is NOT the answer - terror is not the answer. The answer is for all of us to start talking about this in our daily life and decide individually to hold our Government and our Financial Institutions to account.

We should start treating BLAIR and BROWN in the same way the media treat IAN HUNTLEY. After all Huntley ONLY killed two people - the blood on BLAIR and BROWN's hands runs into millions. The head of THE BANK OF ENGLAND likewise and other major financial institutions - these are the REAL VILLAINS of the WORLD the real abusers of creation.

We have all been brainwashed into accepting things as they are - we accept that people starve to death around the world. We accept that we wage war and kill millions of innocent citizens.......WHY ???? I dont understand how we can carry on accepting such violence in OUR names.

JK was right back then - back then he was a lone voice. JK was probably arrested as a POLITICAL PRISONER in case he started speaking out again ( When were you arrested JK ? ) because the plan these people have seems to have taken a BAD TURN since 2001.

Those who went to Cambridge and Oxford who are independent thinkers are probably the first casualty of what seems to be developing around us.

Though it has an USA slant I would recommend ALEXJONES.COM and of course the UK researcher DAVIDICKE.COM. The MEDIA will portray these people as mad or bad ( That is the brainwashing ) but I can assure you what they print is REAL and they just "join the dots".

I think some of David Ickes stuff is cool, but to be fair he can go off on a tangent, fun and interesting though it is, not always correct.

"He came from the Isle of Wight to the Shores of England...."

(writer unknown of song... )

Different subject really and he deserves another thread.
