Hasn't anyone else pointed out that Kid Rock... 17 Years ago
is nicking Werewolves of London with his All Summer Long?
I used to do it all the time (check the Wild World thread and listen to my He's So Fine cover on the box set). These days either nobody notices or no-one cares.

Actually, that tune is interesting in many ways.
The guy knew that he had filched "Sweet home Alabama" and appears to have made amends by referring to it in the song.
Now, this no different to a rapper , rapping over a backing track, but it happens quite rarely in rock music.
This track could actually be more important than we think in gentle theft , with a willing nod to influences.
Kind of a bit like "When Smokey Sings" by ABC in which they had a tune that sounded like a Smokey tune of sorts, but reprieved themselves by dedicating it to himself ,in my opinion.

i don't thonk he's nicking it JK, cos it's blatently obvious that's what it's from.... i like to see it more along the lines of he's found a great well known riff to re-work. ala puff daddy/p diddy come with me... cashmere.
all i know is i've been a kid rock fan since i saw him gig live with Hank Williams Jnr in Nashville over 10 years ago. Anyone who's cool enough to play the banjo and still pull Carmen Electra/Pamela Anderson is cool enough for me. Cowboy is still my all time fave Kid Rock track thou.
