It's hard to say as this was the track that was available to download for free on Keane's website. It attracted over 500,000 downloads and even now is only out through iTunes with no physical/vinyl etc.
It's A listed at Radio 1 and most of the key stations so I think you could conclude it's a definite hit but not in a 'traditional' manner. I'm sure if half a million plus people hadn't been able to download it for free it would have gone straight in at number 1(that doesn't include the illegal downloads of course!). No doubt the album will go straight in at number one, especially with the lovely 500,000+ new database they've just established! and thus the profit margins will be a lot healthier than by having a single at 1 for a couple of weeks, even if it is a bloody good track.
