I`m completely with Noel on this one, and I`m not usually. That was a very nasty push with a guitar in your hands and awfully unfortunate to happen in public.

What baffles me, is why did five or so security guards get the assaulter off the stage and none stop him getting on it in the first place?

Oasis can be impeccably lazy on stage, and that is their show, but this should not be an ethic that creeps into the security around them.

I am livid with him!

On a lighter note, I like the way Liam managed to get a crafty left hook in as the assailant was being led away!

Yes Liam did get one in there, but I feel it may not have been the toughest Mancunian left hook that some of us may have expected from him by legends!

Noel was really horribly pushed to the ground though, I just watched the vid again. That must have really hurt.

Either way, as you pointed out Pete, Liam was very nearly in there before the security! Very much reminiscent of when Keith Richards was assaulted onstage a few years back, one difference.
Keith seemed to win the battle rather quickly on his own........

Well SW, I don`t think it was a fan, I think it was an attention seeking smashed out of his head idiot. I would say that it was a publicity stunt, but no, Noel was hurt without a doubt.

I still can`t get over the fact that Oasis are still so lazy between numbers and laid back and that seems to have got into the security guys` ethics too!
That is exactly when they should have been at their most alert.

Ah yes Liam Gallagher, the swaggering buffoon who professes to be some kind of crazy tough guy? The videos on youtube of him acting " hard " are quite amusing. Bit of a wimp in nice clothes in my opinion.

Yeah but don`t buy the image as a personality Angel, Oasis are a strange bunch who rehearse one heck of a lot more than most major acts as a unit.


That said "nice clothes", errm ....nah...

All I can say is I met them both several times in the 90s and you couldn't wish for nicer, more polite guys.

Not buying anything Mart. The youtube videos i'm refering to are not the image concious tom-foolery we all know and love/are bored of. Liam is clearly, a well paid arrogant moron.
