Live Nation 16 Years, 8 Months ago
Word on the street is that Bob Ezrin and the Live Nation record"label" are gone. So much for their 360 degree model. How delighted Madonna must be this morning.
Almost as delighted as her promoters who had to pay 100k recently following her breaking through the curfew at her Wembley concert. What comes around, goes around.

I think that the 360 model is cool, but largely too late.

The 360 model won't stand up in court.

There are too many conflicts of interest inherent in the idea.

The best version of the 360 model is the DIY model.
The corporate model is too conflicting because one company cant provide all the services.

The 360 model is the only one that makes sense to me but no longer with labels - it has to be with companies which provide publishing, label, marketing, promoter and the lot.

Live Nation simply didn't see how to do it.

I think the problem is - existing structures CANNOT adapt (~EMI good example).

It has to be a totally new structure from foundations up.
