FAB Chart - some gudduns 16 Years, 8 Months ago
The first thing that bounced out at me this week was the fact that Paper Lace are a new entry at 11 with The Night Chicago Died. This was always my favourite PL track, and if it's true that it's found a new audience via the net then that's very cool.

Young Charlie Green is this week's highest new entry, at 8 with Fly Me To The Moon. Another song I've always liked, and he does it justice.

Ten Bears at 15 with Chief Whip. I couldn't help thinking that Zooloo might like this one - but I could be totally wrong. It's quite catchy.

Southwest Albert at 18. A touch of old time Blues. This is right up my street.

Good news for Sparks! Good Morning is the new Number One. Just like the old days.

A really good mix this week.

I adore Paper Lace, always have done. Such lovely clear voices and perfect pop.
The Night (sic!) that they played "Everybody Wants to rule the World" by Tears for Fears completely blew me away. Yes, they do change the line up a lot, but they are always brilliant and I would love to see them get a really good , new and big revival.

Ten Bears - yes and no I see why you'd think I like it but I don't much.

She Caught Me Out - Southside Albert was enjoyable but for me almost a clich

I met Paper Lace in the 1980s but they only had one original member. Seem to recall there were two bands claiming to be Paper Lace with a bit of a dispute going on over the name.

Sparks sound as good as ever.
