We cannot be a closed forum or we will look elitist which is a really bad move.
Obviously if it was an insurance ad,(or similar) it would look pretty bad, but that post is a music ad ( or tip), the more the merrier currently methinks.
It`s not exactly being sold on the site, I mean this with no no disrespect Mr Bunk, but this site has always been about music on this page of itself.

+1elevnetyone as I believe young persons say.
So it is perfectly acceptable then for press releases unchecked and full of overblown hyperbole to be cut and pasted on here. Well no doubt you will be flooded with all manner of stuff then. A certain amount of editorial control never did any harm.

Why not?
The people here are quite capable of spotting cut and paste hype.
It's a shame they didn't bother linking to some actual examples of the music so their post is pretty pointless.
It is music related and as is often stated here self-promoting music is absolutely fine, there's no problem with that.
Many pop and rock acts would love to sell that many. In fact very pop or rock acts have achieved that this year and with Christmas coming then the Million figure is surely nailed on. So perhaps they have factored their own advance sales into the figure - remember the Music Week figure only clicks in once an album is sold over the counter - it does not represent orders from retailers to the record company.
If you really knew about music you would realise how the Million figure "could" be true in this case.
Sounds as if you are jealous of this Choir ?
I can understand why JK allowed the post - it is something different and exciting. We have had too many "same as" bands ( see JK's threads on the singles charts ) for too long and need some excitement in the charts. Perhaps Choirs may be a new genre that could liven things up because they have an ability to arrange songwriting and add light and shade which some bands seem incapable of doing in the current indie and rock scene which has become very one dimensional.
