In a similar vein, the new Glen Campbell one is good also.

Lovely voice, great dignity displayed to the songs, particularly on the Green day cover.

I always got the impression that Tony Christie was signed in case Tom Jones took a sickee, but he has been wonderfully enduring.(either way it was MCA wasn`t it?, which I don`t think was a Decca company)

MCA Records UK is a company of US Decca, named MCA Records since the 60s.

In 1974 - at the time, british Decca was too busy handling all the stuff from UK Records - MCA Records ended its distribution agreement in the UK with Decca and went to EMI.

Is Tony Christie still produced by Jack White (the man who gave David Hasselhoff "Looking For Freedom")? Since the 80s White made lots of records with Christie, Engelbert Humperdinck and other british & american M-O-R-Artists from the 60s.
