AC/DC 16 Years, 7 Months ago
Regulars will know I'm biased as I love the band but the Guardian and everyone spotting the link between recessions and the band fail to take into account one thing - this is their best album for ages.

Am I right in seeing a link with Steve Barnett at Columbia US?
He was always a fellow huge fan.

For those with a sense of humour...

Wrong guitar mate, it is supposed to be a Gibson SG, not a duff Strat copy!

Some interesting things I spotted whilst watch AC/DC yesterday,(on DVD) the drummer seems to think the whole thing is hilarious, and Angus Young takes centre stage whilst the vocalist appears more as an "extra".

What an interesting way of working, if this performance ethic was introduced to the X factor, TV and it`s viewers would simply not "get it".
Led Zep almost do this, but not to the extent that AC/DC do, I think it`s great and shows the band off with real unity.
Angus is the star and , to the best of my knowledge has never even sung a backing vocal.
Everybody loves this band, they make you cringe , they make you dance and laugh, but they can never make you cry, which is interesting.

Yes that was always the case after Bon's death and what I love is that it is totally with Brian's approval and collusion - funnily enough, although I love Bon's lyrics (Whole Lotta Rosie), my fave AC/DC track is You Shook Me - from Brian (who's a Geordie charmer).

And of course the Young family goes way back in music via the Easybeats and many other great songs from Vanda/Young.

I think the new album's very average. "Stiff Upper Lip" was much better as far as I'm concerned.
