I know what they did to the rain. They sent it all here last night. It was so heavy that not one trick or treater ventured out, which means I get to keep all the candy for myself.

The first time I heard was not that long ago actually, as they were on the same gig as me.

Gorgeous tune. I spent a long time with Mike Pender as he explained the story of his guitar to me.

Superb record and a particular fave of mine. One of Jackie DeShannon's most interesting lyrics.

This band were great... good run of singles between 1963 and 1967. All produced by Tony Hatch who also arranged the charming strings on this number. Hatch was hot throughout much of that decade. As I type, "Sugar and Spice" has appeared at random on my mp3 player!

This was about 6 or 7 months before "Moon" JK... wondering now if this track may had partly been an inspiration since they do share a similar melancholic mood and are in the "protest" mode.

Yes chosen deliberately because of the rain (it's drizzling nastily here in London).

Up here in Liverpool, it's a gorgeous sunny day... no sign of the rain!

You can have a Karma point for that Elliot , however, it comes with a price and the rain should be with you about now!

Thanks for that Mart!

I went out shopping and there were ominous looking grey clouds to be seen, but it soon passed and we haven't had a drop of rain... yet! Liverpool is renowned for it's rain so I'm certain we will catch up on it!

Great song but it was actually written by Malvina Reynolds

Her most well known track was "Morningtown ride" for the Seekers

That's not you in one of your many guises is it JK ?
