Hi,up till a couple of years ago i was a regular visitor and poster on this board.
I've now relocated to the states and have been somewhat involved with what i believe to be a band with great potential. The female singer is electrifying on stage and a great writer. They possibly have a massive hit with a tune called "HELLO", and have just signed with an indie label in Brooklyn called..THE END RECORDS.
Another marketing point is the fact that the drummer in the band is a current member of SLIPKNOT, although their music is worlds apart.

I quite like the manic rhythm bursts in Hello and the contrasts... I think it's rather good but I'm never keen on that cutie pie style of singing (it reminds me of Melanie).

I found the vocals to be quite Bjork-ish, funnily enough.

Very mid 80s sound, rather similar to Slowdive or The Primitves. I don't think there's a mass market for this music, but I'm sure there will be an audience for it. I found it ok, but I wouldn't pay to hear it.

Terrible demos, but I see what you mean by the potential.

I have the same reserves about the Betty Boop singing, which is cloying after a while. Gwen Stefani was an example of girliness with muscle in No Doubt.

So I'd say it's pretty good overall, and will become better with more work. But hust from a quick listen on MySpace (which is not ideal), I wouldn't start shopping them yet.

Hello, massive hit? Not sure, it reminds me of another song which is on the tip of my tongue. For being a hit, it may but feel there is "something" short of a hit here.

The demos are quite rough, but indicate bags of potential. I'd love to hear fully produced material.
