best gigs of 2008? 16 Years, 6 Months ago
I posted this on the Radio 2 message board but thought it could be interesting over here too...

2008 has been a great year for me- overcoming big health and financial problems, and had some great gigs to help things along.

What have been your 5 best gigs of the year? Or if you haven't been to five which was the one that did it for you?

Here are mine:

1. Manu Chao - The Forum, London
Easily the best gig of the year for me from the French world music god, and the sexiest man on the planet

this is from that show uk.youtube.com/watch...

2. Yazoo - Hammersmith Apollo, London
Amazing vocals from Moyet, slightly re-worked arrangements andlots of dancing

3. Marc Almond - Wilton's Music Hall, London
Beautiful, atmospheric old venue which suited an intimate show of torch songs.

4. Adem - Gee Club, Birmingham
Passionate set from a free spirited folk troubadour.

5. Boy George - Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham
What a great voice he still has.

over to you.....
