Top of the Pops Xmas Special 16 Years, 5 Months ago
Coldplay stole the show for me. I could have done with the whole of Rihanna's Take A Bow in there and Beyonce surely deserved to be asking what life would be like if she were a boy but the big missing ingredient was our Record of the Year - Rock Star from Nickelback.

People will argue that's because it was released in 2007. Who cares about release dates? It is the third biggest seller of 2008. Why wasn't it in there Mark?

Agreed. I have to admit that I also loved Girls Aloud! Especially the lovely Cheryl and Nicola. I'll get me coat before I start appearing even more like a teenager.

Wasn't this the first of two specials? Maybe Nickelback will be in the second.

What amused me was the age group of some of the audience members. Very wise to have the odd "oldie" there. Gave the show a more genuine feel. I'm sure there was a period were most of the audience were hired for there looks or dancing abilities. Now thats what i call false.

Excellent episode and COLDPLAY were totally stunning - with an appearance which will be much lauded in the future along with some of the other great TOTP performances.

Surely the BBC can rescue the Music Industry ( which made so much money for the UK ) by bringing back TOTP.

Please, Coldplay, stunning? BR, you always seem so keen to lick JK's arse.

They were shite and the programme was shite. It won't be of any use unless they replace the presenters.

Just because someone agrees with me, don't assume it's bum licking SW.

TOTP will continue to be shit until someone creative and imaginative is given charge.
