Little Joe says he's bored with Akon but I think his hits have been some of the best of the year. A bit predictable - he has found a formula - but Suicidal was genius and I loved Dangerous (he really does use that word rhyming with Venus) and his new one Right Nah Nah Nah is incredibly catchy.

In fact, throw in Rihanna's brilliant year (Take A Bow was tremendous) and her track with TI using that superb Euro hook adopted by the fat kid on You Tube 3 years ago (whatever happened to him?), and Beyonce's fabulous hits and I'd say American R&B was the sound of 2008.
