Svengali Pilot Episode Skewers The Music Biz 16 Years, 5 Months ago
Greetings Jonathan,

You may remember a band I presented to The Tipsheet many moons ago. They were called The Pocket Devils. Well, the lead singer has built himself up a pretty good acting resume. His latest effort draws on his experiences with the band and features The Pocket Devils' track "Starmaker".

Here's a YouTube link:

Description:

A new Internet comedy series from the folk who brought you DOSE and WEDDING BELLES. Written by Dean Cavanagh, starring Jonathan Owen and Roger Evans, directed by Philip John.

I would really value your opinion and those of your loyal readers.

Best Regards,

Looks great fun to me.

The agent guy reminds me of Russell T Davies.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I will be happy to keep the Tipsheet MB up to date on developments. As usual, the industry heard it here first!

Greetings,

The second episode of the Internet comedy "Svengali" is just about wrapped up. The new episode features the one and only Alan McGee playing himself and Sally Phiilips as Jon Owen's girlfriend.

I certainly love the idea of this series on the BBC2. Could anyone perhaps point me towards the appropriate person at BBC2? Any help would be appreciated.

As soon as the new episode is up on YouTube I will post a link.

Best Regards,
