Morrissey 16 Years, 4 Months ago
Already the subject of discussion here, and the new single is a bit Smiths-by-numbers, but I have to admit I love Morrissey, all he's done and all he stands for.

He always does stuff to please his fans. No ridiculous change of style or experimentation. He's miserable and unpleasant at work but then so am I

I like him a lot.

I like Morrissey. I don't have a lot of his stuff, but he is a true original.

Another true original I admire is Marc Almond.

And he was brilliant on The One Show last night. His honesty was very refreshing on certain subjects last night and was very witty. Loved his comments about his videos.

His new stuff seems good as well. Cannot believe he will be 50 on 22 May.

His current single isn't too bad. Not half as depressing as his other stuff, but still hardly uplifting. I think it's the arty element of it - I'm not sure what I mean by that either.

I wouldn't pay money for it, but I'd quite happily leave the radio on if they are playing it, unlike his previous works of depression.

But I loved Girlfriend and Miserable and others because they were so original and had great tunes.

Best of all The Boy With...

The new one is OK but a bit ordinary. The sound and the words without the heart.

I think that Morrisey stands for misery and, as misery loves company, "all he's done" is spread it around.

Check out his WORLD TOUR support band - DOLL AND THE KICKS.

I happened to be at the gig at THE FLY in London when he turned up to watch them a few months ago and then chose them to support him.

It is good to see him supporting a really talented UK band - who have ten times the talent of any trendy Florence and her Machines.

Go check this band out - they are already being played by Radio 2 ( Heard it on the ROSS show on Saturday ) and live they are superb.

Morrisey still has not been tainted by the decline of the UK industry - so more power to him.
