The problem of the music industry is the monopoly power of a few firms.
If there is a solution, it will be de-centralisation, competion between a lot of players (labels, agencys, radio & TV stations, web sites etc).
Live Nation Entertainment stands today at exactly the same point the majors stood in 1999.
