I know his spokespeople have said hes working on a new album but this whole "Robbie rejoining Take That " story does have a smell of someone about to be booted off his label He not selling like he used to. In fact his Rudebox album was marked down to a quid in woolworths about two months after it came out. The day he lost Guy Chambers was the day his career fell apart.

I doubt that Robbie would be reuniting with Take That if his own solo career was still going strong. They have shown that they don't need Robbie, but Robbie has shown that he does need them - now.

The reason Robbie's solo career has grinded to a halt was in the news early last year. He owes EMI one more album but because he objects to the changes EMI have undergone, he is refusing to fulfil the contract, claiming a new album would not get the promotion he used to get!

Considering how much EMI paid Robbie for his contract - many millions, a stupid figure - he should just honour the contract. He took THEIR money so it's only right he gives them the album he owes.

Robbie seeing Take That reform with astonishing success must be making him feel a bit sick, so no wonder it looks possible he wants to return to Take That. It would give Take That a further boost since in their 90's heyday, Robbie was far and away the most popular member.

There won't be any reunion this year (though a one-song guest appearance by Robbie on the last date of The That's tour isn't impossible.) Robbie's just going through standard issue Big-Star-Following-A-Flop-Album jitters, amplified by TT's huge success, hence him going back to Guy Chambers...

It costs nothing to circulate these stories in the press, and keeps both parties in the public eye, so they'll keep running, but nothing will happen until after Robbie's next solo album, and the runes say to expect a full reunion album & tour for Christmas 2010, followed by a concerted effort to be The (collective) Face of the 2012 Olympics...

What Robert needs is great songs. And Guy.

I strongly doubt that anything Take That does at this point has made him "Sick"
