Billy Ocean's First Record 16 Years, 3 Months ago
In May 2009's MOJO magazine, (page 9), Billy Ocean is asked "What was the first record you ever bought?". His reply: "Ha ha! It was Everyone's Gone To The Moon by Jonathan King. I must have been 16. the lyrics were very visual, and painted a picture in my mind."

Actually, there's a great covermount CD with this issue. Well thought out, and will lead to this poster making at least one additional CD purchase!

Frank Rijkaard, do you remember the first record you ever bought?

"Yes, that was "Donna". A single from a band called 10cc. I bought it when I was 8 or 9. The first 5, 6 months I only heard the A-side, than I realised, that there was something on the B-side. I don't remember the name [Hot Sun Rock], but I know it was an instrumental."

My first record was JK's Una Paloma Blanca in 1975 when I was 10.

I remember buying Bubblerock "Satisfaction" in Smiths for about 10p in their January sale. Watching the video recently made me realise just how bloody good your arrangement is. It adds to the original song in fact id go so far as to say i prefer it to the Stones version.

The first record I bought for myself was 'Two Little Boys' by Rolf Harris. I know, sad innit. But I still love that simplistic slice of vinyl sentiment.
