I am considered biased since we publish Abba but I genuinely thought Mamma Mia was the best film of 2008 - just as I believe objectively that Vile Pervert; The Musical was the most important film of last year.

Not just for the social points made but for the fact that a movie can be made for £10,000 and shown for free on the internet to thousands of people.

And VPTM is closing on 34,000 full length views/downloads.

Every morning I see a further 100 or so have watched it.

Hoping to hit 35,000 by the first anniversary next month.

Bjorn was brilliant on BBC brekkie this morning - Abba will not reform because everyone would be disappointed that it wasn't the young, energetic Abba any more.

Quite right too - that was why I never did gigs (though often offered a fortune in the 80s) doing Una Paloma Blanca or Everyone's Gone To The Moon.

Instead I moved on and did Entertainment USA and No Limits and other TV as a 40 year old and then Eurovision and Tipsheet and Record of the Year as a 50 year old - and Vile Pervert as a 60 year old!

Much more fun.

Bjorn and Benny likewise buried the old Abba and did Chess in their 40s and Mamma Mia in their 50s.

Must be something in the Wyndham water!

Incidentally nobody seems to have noticed one of the key ingredients in the Mamma Mia movie success - the wonderfully high quality of the soundtrack. Why?

I loved Abba and their music, but just can't get into the musical. It really doesn't do much for me. I'd prefer to just listen to an Abba album.
