The guy that sang 'aint no sunshine'. How did he know when the backing was going to start? He nodded to the wings and then started singing the intro without the backing - all in perfect time for when ant/dec pressed the button....

Actually Jerry one of the things I really like about BGT is the efficient editing; I love the way Simon or Amanda looks shocked at just the right moment and singers start bang on... remember, this is a TV show and the term "reality TV" is much misused.
Remember when they said "the camera never lies"?

The soprano was quite a cheery good looking guy, but I prefer men to sound like men. The other who sang Aint no Sunshine was much better to my ears. I still think Diversity have been the best act on this years BGT, of all I've seen so far. Also, to my normal, non-expert, ordinary punter's ear, Susan Boyle was the singer I could listen to the most. I found her very uplifting.

Think GP could have a future in voiceover work but really cant see him as a winner. I caught it while channel hopping and thought it was rather grotesque. They had a male soprano on Opp Knocks in the Hughie Green era and who remembers Keith Baden Powell today apart from me and my trivia absorbing memory. There again male sopranos are rare and could be in high demand where a childs voice is needed but one cannot be found. He may not win the contest but certainly that voice may be his fortune.

I don't think he'd make a convincing kid. The quality of the voice is totally different. Rather like when they get women to do boys' voices in audio dramas. It doesn't work.
