You could try some of the indie record shops like Vynil Tap. It could have been privately pressed somewhere.Theres something about them on the following link which i post just in case youve missed it.

Ritchie Routledge has a very good site on myspace

www.myspace.com/thecryinshames1966

He corrects the false rumours by another member of the group who seems to have been rather economical with the truth.

There are also 2 fantastic bits of footage on youtube

and

and the best track but obviously no performance

Vocalist Charlie Crane passed away a few years ago now having run a pub in Chesterton (Nr Saffrom Walden)

These guys were all teenagers.

there are a few Joe Meek compilations where you can find the singles. You'll need a fortnight's salary to find a decent copy of "come on back"

I don't know about anyone else but I think "Please stay" is totally gorgeous !

Perhaps you should find out what the truth is before you accuse anyone of being economical with it.

The remains of the Cryin shames have got together recently and all had a good laugh at Richies version of events.

Really ? I guess you dug Charlie up for his version ? I believe the truth when it comes from the horses mouth, not someone who was sacked from the group 43 years ago.

great clips.

I like this version of Please Stay by Mekon feat. Marc Almond (who is a huge Joe Meek fan).

very nice, but what's with that hairdo, Marc?
