"Lift Off with Ayesha" 16 Years, 1 Month ago
A pop programme from the seventies made for ITV. Ayesha was Ayesha Brough who was every teen boys wet dream. Does anyone know what happened to her? I believe she went on to do one of the Gerry Anderson series and then vanished from our screens. Did you ever do the show JK?

Ayshea lives in Grantham now.

None of the shows seem to exist anymore, which is hardly surprising.

Thanks for that Mike. Lift Off sadly does seem to have been wiped but never fear cos you can bet Network DVD are scouring the itv libraries for whats left. Theyve done it with Crossroads and found loads of episodes and are about to release what remains of Magpie. You can bet more will turn up at some point Someone somewhere must have some of Lift Off. Think theres quite a lot still to find in the Granada vaults and various private collections. We shall just have to wait and hope.

I have great memories of Lift Off, and indeed of Ollie Beak who was the real star of the show. I'll have to dig out my collection of early 70s Look In magazines. I'm sure there was a regular feature by Ayesha.

If they bring out a DVD I'll certainly buy it. Also good news about a Magpie release. I do have a few clips of Magpie on an old VHS about 70s kids TV. I used to prefer it to Blue Peter, once John Noakes had left BP that is.

Ah, Ayesha, one of my first crushes... I have a very vivid memory of a Look-In cover with Ayesha and Roy Wood both wearing the same "Wizzard" make-up. I read a while back that she made a very concerted effort to "disappear" once she left TV, hence the lack of information about her... would love to see a Lift Off DVD though!

Ayshea was in Gerry Anderson's series U.F.O. 1969 -1970
I remember the theme of Lift Off was called ThE Spirit Is Willing, by Peter Staker and The Hands of Dr Teleny
It made the UK charts around 1971-72
