ROLLING DOG at Fandango/BMI

Board Regular 18 Years, 2 Months ago
Already mentioned on one or two other industry boards but here is my three penneth worth for Tipsheeters.

Rolling Dog played the Radio 6 Night at the Water Rats in November and Move On Up ! at Upstairs at the Garage in December and now have played Fandango/BMI at The Borderline last night.

The band have an every growing army of industry stalkers ( including myself ) who thinnk that this band are certainly ones to watch.

I have been tipped they are going into the studio shortly to do some more recording and they have had some offers on the table - but so far they are yet to sign any deals.

Their performance last night for a band of 18 year olds was mature and musically excellent. The songs are strong with hooks being shared between the lead guitar lines - the piano ! - and the choruses ! Very clever ! They also rock out really well.

The front of the stage was full of gyrating teenage girls ! who danced through the whole set leading to a club like atmosphere last night.

The band were easily the best received of the three bands despite not headlining and surely will get signed soon.

As mentioned on RotD, along with the other hot industry fancy at the moment AIR TRAFFIC this band have the lot - looks, songs and musical ability.

The year has started well.

Are you sure you've got the Name and Subject the right way round BR? If so, I pity the poor vicar at your christening! (nm) 18 Years, 2 Months ago
