It may be a "magnificent" story, although applauding fraud and deception rather sticks in my throat, but it is a very "old" story. The Classical arm of the PBI were investigating Hatto and her "recordings" 5 years ago . Why has it taken so long to reach the public domain, one wonders. It all links in to a Channel 4 documentary which is being screened on Friday July 31st.

Barrington- Coupe was involved with Marcel Rodd and a budget record company called Saga Records in the 60's.
There was talk that some of their classical material was perhaps not as legitimate as it might be.
