This "towing a portable cinema around Scotland" is just so brilliant - we need a similar kind of wacky idea in music.

And she made a great Witch in the wardrobe.

Can I have some Turkish delight please Tilda?

It is an excellent idea, it was featured on Radio 4's Front Row this evening.

Seems to be going down very well and surprisingly art-house films are some of the most popular.

I've always had a liking for the "small" arty, independant films. Often well written and very creative. Generally overlooked because due to the lack of big names.

This seems like a good place to plug

www.cannesinavan.com/

Not my idea, but immense fun and doing a good job for shorts.

Its not a new idea to take cinema to the masses. It was used in WW1 to entertain and inform the troops and i believe the Lenin and the Bolsheviks used it as well for propaganda purposesduring the revolution. There was a recreation of a "cinema train" at the(sadly missed) Museum of the Moving Image in London some years back.
