Re:Cheryl Cole; well out of rhythm and miming 15 Years, 8 Months ago
It's a pity that after all the fuss about her singing live and saying she was - she was miming with a very small percentage of her voice over a part of it. I realised this and it was apparently confirmed by Carrie Grant on TV this morning. I don't know why people fall for it.
Also I suggest that people have a listen to Whitney's comments about the contestants - says it all really.
Having a week to practice part of a song should make any talented singer give a mind blowing performance - unfortunately my mind was blown in the wrong way.

I read this comment in today's Guardian. Martin Kelner's actually reviewing Piers Morgan's interview with Boris Becker when he makes the very good point:
"maybe viewers hanging on after the X Factor have short memories. They certainly seem to have trouble remembering how much better original versions of songs sounded, before being mangled on the show."
I saw bits of X Factor for the first time on Saturday and couldn't believe how awful it was. If there was ever a reason why pop music has become bland and uninteresting it was there.

X Factor reminds me of a talent contest at Butlins....fun but for serious musicians and entertainers to be avoided at all costs.
Leona - Will Young etc. are talents - but the bubble has burst for TV reality contests.
BBC Strictly series is equally mind numbing and should be stopped on the grounds of cruelty to TV viewers. It just seeks to massage the BBC regulars like some bad COMIC RELIEF sketch which will never end..........and now has taken over Friday to Sunday nights - making the BBC almost unwatchable on the weekend.
Our TV has seens its advertising fall - not suprising if this is the best they have on offer.
We have some of the best writers and drama producers in the world at BBC and ITV. They should be able to produce some amazing stuff for primetime weekend viewing in the Winter.
MERLIN and DOCTOR WHO and TORCHWOOD and so on. These are the quality programmes which we need to see on UK TV main channels at weekend. Not enough of them at the moment.

I quite like the single as it happens; definitely prefer it to Bad Boys but not massively impressed by the current creative forces of the music industry!
