I watched Vile Pervert The Musical and loved it. Bought Vile Pervert, Wilde About Boys, Moon, Mary My Love and J Reggae from itunes and thought - I'll bet most viewers end up buying some tracks. Let's say a couple each on average. That's £1.58 per viewer - of which JK probly gets £1. That's £40,000 so far, covering the cost of the film and making him a hefty profit. So this is the "new model"!

It is indeed the new model. But very few in the "majors" seem aware of it. I've probably earned more from this odd track than Cheryl Cole from her "biggest hit of the year" from which she probably gets 1p a sale!

By writing, producing, owning, publishing and often performing - I keep enough to put petrol in the Roller.

I'm not sure "genius" is the right word though. Sensible more like. Whilst sadly the traditional labels and media haven't even spotted it. NAFC as they say...
