SunTalk to shut down by Christmas - it's losing money hand over fist and going nowhere.

Universal to let 200 staff go; likewise Sony (130) and EMI.

Music Week to close.

The Fly owned by MAMA to close by end of month....Water Rats possibly as well........and other venues.

Nothing confirmed but these seem to be strong rumours going around.

Had heard the Music Week one a couple of days ago. Heard that some staff had not been paid.....

None of this is very good news and my thoughts go out to everyone effected by this potential news.

It is easy to forget that many people have families - rents - credit cards.... - and usually enjoy working in the music industry.

If only we qualified for a BANK BAILOUT.
