Bloody awful TV, bloody awful karaoke clogging up the charts...
When I was on Capital they asked if I would contribute to Help A London Child. I said I would if they started Kill A London Child. They didn't ask me again.
I used to like it when it was a kind of extended Wogan Show. Roy Kinnear and Patrick Moore would turn up on motorcycle and side-car rather like a male version of Two Fat Ladies. Joanna Lumley was another regular. It was low budget and spontaneous. Ken Bruce was the radio link. It was nothing like the modern glitzy celeb fest. Now so many people are jostling to get themselves in front of the camera or promote their latest song. I find it almost distasteful.
