Anyone reading my autobiography will know now a great deal more about Simon but let me put my thoughts across - he is single handedly saving the music industry. Not just by finding the Susan Boyles and Will Youngs but by heading up a massive rated TV series which weekly exposes music to the punters.
Like his music or not (generally not; he has very little taste), you must admire his contribution.
Who else, with the possible exception of Lucian who is showing signs of sad decline (can't help nosing and fiddling - bad sign) is contributing anything to our industry?
If the BBC cared about TOP OF THE POPS they would bring Simon Cowell in to run it - I cant see why they cant "Buy" his production - they do it for all their "friends" companies......Dawn French and mates seem to produce something every week..........as well as Hat Trick.
A new TOTP run by Simon Cowell would be awesome !
"Simon Cowell's Top of the Pops" has a ring to it - and yes he is now saving the World's music industry with Susan Boyle's astounding sales success.
Looking forward to reading the book after Christmas.

Simon is "golden handcuffed" to ITV, so he can't currently work for the BBC.
I have several pet hates like most people. However Simon really should be told there is no such word as 'somethink' and he and his other 'judges' need to know that 100% is the maximum of any percentage. You cannot have 150%, 1000% or even more!
Sorry; Simon would be a disaster heading up Pops - he doesn't know a thing about music. There's only one person I can think of who would make it a success and he could never be booked for other reasons.

Never say never. Whoops, I just said it twice.
Interesting thing about Myleene and Hearsay - Gary Barlow wrote some of their album but had to use another name due to his poor standing at the time.
Perhaps the person who could do TOTP could use a false name in order to satisfy the MAFIA who control the BBC and the media.
It is funny that TONY BLAIR lied and contributed to the death of a million people yet the BBC still allow him on their programmes and his wife........and his followers.
Typical bollocks from BR. If Simon ran TOTP, 85% of what would be on there would be Sony/Syco acts. Talk about a conflict of interests. He has not saved the music industry.
Why would you want a man with very dubious music tastes (in fact, someone who's not really a music fan) overseeing TOTP? Stupid beyond belief.
So the story goes - Simon, delighted by the huge attention we provoked here last year for Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah (and Tim Buckley's - both on Sony and both getting Cowell a kick back fee) set up this Rage Against The Machine battle (also Sony; also kick back fee) and is busily complaining vehemently about the campaign (almost as vehemently as he loathed Jedward). My God, this could provoke even bigger media coverage for the final!!
He certainly learned promotion from his mentor in the 90s!
When he was interviews he was visibly trying to keep a straight face - it was a classic coup. He has just increased the sales of the X Factor by 5 and Rage by 10 times......both for his company. Genius. That is why putting him in charge of Top of the Tops with him even having a new release segment where he could give his opinion on releases would bring in the audience and be a sure fire winner FOR EVERYONE in music.
Why the jealousy towards him ? I cant understand the jealousy in the UK - it is nasty. No one seems to like anyone who succeeds. They want to knock them down as soon as they find success.
The UK Is full of bitter people with no talent who wish to pick on those of us who are talented. Bah humbug to them all. They need a dose of a CHRISTMAS CAROL and need to lighten up.
GO SIMON. I hope ALL singles do well this Christmas. Music is a wonderful thing.
