For me the highlight was Katherine Jenkins. Michael Buble should have stuck to one song as his second didn't work as well as the first. The Strauss orchestra were excellent. Diversity seemed to lose their way in mid act but recovered well enough. Perri's intended flip over the rest of the group ended up just being a jump and so less impressive than in rehearsal. Rather that than an injury and the audience still enjoyed it.

The puppet was better on it's own than with the ventriloquist. Bette Midler was .. Bette Midler.

Did anyone else think Alexandra Burke was very flat and off key? I think she was trying to be a Sugar Babe, or just different to Leona Lewis.

The "comedian" with the artificial leg was a bit embarrassing.

Overall it wasn't a bad show, but it could have been better.

Didn't the Royal Variety used to be on weekends and in London? Or am I thinking of something else?

Michael Buble is the first man I've heard singing Cry me a River. He did it very well. I agree it was just an ok show, nothing amazing. It lacked any real zap and charisma.
