The 'holidays' fade into memory and music settles into a cosy groove. Young Jordan Jansen remains at the top, plus has a second song climbing into the Top Ten. Great songs, great voice.
On the subject of young singers, Russian boy Vlad Krutskikh enters at 9 with "Hello Hello". It's bright and cheery and possibly what we need as we huddle in front of the dying embers of a half eaten value pasty trying to fight off the winter blues.
Possibly my favourite of the new entries is from Paul Bevoir at 14 with a fine little ditty called "Maybe Not". It has an almost pre-school TV simplicity about it while also being a finely crafted, enjoyable ballad.
"My Old Man" by Cyril O Donoghue comes in at 17. Nice and Folky. Quite quirky but relaxing.
The we have Gundogs at 19 with "Hey Hey". This is slightly more Rocky and up tempo. It doesn't grab me as instantly as the others but I know it will grow on me in time.
Good climbs for The Filthy Youth and Pilot.
Love the featured video. I have the vinyl of that version of "Frosty the Snowman" but I'd never seen the video before. Great stuff!
