Sun and Simon's "charity" single 15 Years, 5 Months ago

I remember being on the Sun when they made that ferry sinking single which I slagged off in my column - to the fury of the other staff but the delight of Kelvin the Editor. They confided to me at the time "we love tragedies and disasters; circulation always rises and we can look generous and kind pretending to support charitable acts". So I pricked the bubble on their own pages. Kelvin (a great editor) loved it.

Well Bring The House Down (Slade)

Walls Come Tumbling Down (The Style Council)

No doubt you lot can come up with one or two more.
