Wasn't that painful? I'd partly blame the One Show team - they surely know what she's like, so why plant her on a show that suffers from acute ADD? But she seemed to be talking while waiting - in (so) vain - for something vaguely witty to crawl into her head, which was a disaster. I really liked her and especially James Taylor (who has always seemed a real gent - did you know him?), but deary me she's gone odd!

Maybe it's like a chemical/neurological revision of Dorian Gray: James Taylor took all of that heroin and cocaine in the seventies but remains remarkably sharp and coherent, while poor sober Carly had her brain burnt-out by spooky association.
